Tanks has been completely rewritten using the Godot game engine, which means it is now cross platform. You can play on Linux, Mac, or Windows, as well as on Ubuntu Touch. The feature set has remained the same in terms of gameplay, with the exception of the hill climbing upgrade not being in the new version yet. Note that save files are not compatible between the old Mac-only version and the new Godot version.

I have plans for an online multiplayer mode. If you want to see this happen, be sure to let me know! You can pledge your support for the server in anticipation of this feature's release on Liberapay.
